Nature-inspired design accents feature wood, grass and pebbles. The Beachwood neighborhood story is brought to life within the hotel through murals of the local green spaces that make up the Emerald Necklace and the experiences they offer, including flowing waterfalls, colorful patchwork hot air balloons and polo horses in action. “The extensive collection of parks, trails and waterways beg to be explored and discovered, and we look forward to connecting our guests to this vibrant and unique neighborhood.” “We like to think of this neighborhood’s green spaces as ‘naturally priceless’,” stated Mary Winslow, director, Americas Brand Management, Hotel Indigo. The Hotel Indigo Cleveland-Beachwood hotel celebrates the Cleveland Metroparks system, a diverse network of green spaces dedicated to conservation, education and recreation and referred to by locals as the “Emerald Necklace.” Because the location was so good, we would probably stay again.CLEVELAND, OH-The first Hotel Indigo in Cleveland has opened in the Beachwood neighborhood. Valet parking was expensive, but convenient. They did compensate us by taking 50% off the last night charges, which was appreciated. One elevator was broken when we checked in on Wednesday, and was broken the whole time we were there, then on check out day the second and third elevators were out of service, which caused us to have to walk down 8 flights of stairs with all of our luggage, which isn't easy for someone with bad knees. We should have been informed at check in that there would be no service of the rooms. We called down to the front desk to request towel service and had to remind them twice that we needed towels before they were brought to our room. We were not told that the rooms were not to be serviced so when we returned to the room in the late afternoon, we found all of our wet towels still on the floor of the bathroom. We somehow ended up in a disability access room, which is fine, but the shower, which we understand is built to accommodate a disabled person, had a shower curtain that did not keep the water from spraying all over the bathroom floor, which caused us to have to use our towels to mop up the pools of water from the floor. ![]() ![]() We stayed here for 3 nights, the room was spacious and very modern. The bathroom was a little small, but there was a decent nightlight and was very clean. Typical small refrigerator, Television, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Bed was comfortable and the temp controls worked well. The rooms are decent sized, clean, and reasonably quiet. There is also a very nice courtyard that was pretty much empty the entire time we were there - good for a large group. The hotel is well appointed with a restaurant on-site and a nice lobby area. Check-in/check-out was easy and they were able to give some good ideas for places to go nearby. The front desk staff was very helpful during our entire stay (2 days). ![]() You could park in one of the lots nearby, but the valet is much easier. Very easy to get on and off the highway, and the valet parking is not bad for a downtown hotel. There are a couple of breweries within a five minute walk, and a number of really good restaurants. Hockey, Basketball, and Baseball each about a block away, Football a little further but very walkable. Well situated hotel that is pretty much in the middle of everything.
